So, This Whole Roomate Thing Is Getting Out Of Hand.

Living with Elliot is fun, there's no denying that. He can always think of something for us to do, whether I want to or not, like going on a bus ride (with no legitimate destination) for three hours. I don't mind the practical jokes so much, sometimes they make me laugh. But today, Elliot changed the language setting of my computer to French. I don't speak French, I didn't even know that Elliot did, but lo and behold he never ceases to amaze me. Anyway, I'm kind of bored and I don't really plan on sleeping because honestly, I'm actually really upset right now. 

I finally got the chance to watch the Doctor Who Christmas Special, "The Time of the Doctor" and I'm pretty traumatized by the whole thing. I mean, I LOVED Matt Smith! He was so silly it always made my day, but... Ugh, I can't really put into words how upsetting that whole regeneration thing was for me. So yeah, here I am, 20 years old and venting my feelings about a television show, on my blog. I think, now, that I'm going to just post some random photographs on here. None of me, though, because I'm actually pretty camera shy, but of one of my cats, Maaka! She's just the cutest thing, especially in the winter, she gets kind of hyper :)

And now that I've done that, I'm going to go watch children's movies/cartoons to take my mind off of this crushing Doctor Who- related sadness.

Back With A New Comic!!! :D

Woohoo! Finally, right?

So, if anyone cares, my soundtrack for this comic was the Sex Pistols album, "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" and various songs by the amazing MIYAVI. He is one of my all time favourite singers, alongside GACKT, of course. So, anyway, we're back and Gerard is as troublesome as ever. And for those of you who noticed, yes, the brand of Jay's laptop changed, I very recently obtained a Toshiba laptop, so I decided to change Jay's computer brand as well because I am the authour and I do what I want.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays :D

Hey, guys! I want to wish you all a super happy holidays, no matter what you celebrate, and a happy new year, though I may post again before then. My parents sent me a new laptop for Christmas so I'll be able to post more now because it's a newer model and runs my programs without crashing lol. So, in light of the holiday season, I've made you guys a little drawing :D
I imagine Gerard being the type of person who's so excited for Christmas that they don't sleep at all the day before and then proceed to sleep for the rest of the morning/afternoon after they've opened their presents.

Christmas In Japan Is a Bit Different...

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I suck I know... :( But I have time for a text post tonight before I go to sleep.
Not much has been happening, I've sort of gotten used to Elliot, I think...? Tonight we were wrapping our Christmas presents and he has made me listen to two+ hours of Britney Spears while doing so, I have at least 12 different songs stuck in my head now.
This year will be my first North American Christmas! We do celebrate it in Japan, but it's pretty much a consumer holiday, it's not a national holiday like it is in North America. We sometimes exchange presents and have cakes, usually sponge cake with creme icing and strawberries (soo yumy ^_^) and eat KFC (yes, Kentucky Fried Chicken) I was only recently informed by Elliot how weird that is to Westerners. But the KFCs get so busy you sometimes have to make reservations even months in advance before Christmas!! Christmas Eve is kind of like a big thing for couples or whatever, but I don't really pay too much attention to that. One of my friends usually takes me out to a movie of something so I'm okay haha.
Maybe after Elliot drags me out to a party I'll celebrate the way I would back in Japan? I could make a cake and go with Elliot to KFC, haha. But we do have Santas in Japan, included below is a pole dancing Santa from Kobe-Shi (I'm sure that wasn't the original intention...)
If any of you have heard Britney Spears' new album "Britney Jean" her song "Tick Tick Boom" is confusing to me. The emphasis on the titular part of the chours isn't clear enough, and I thought she was singing "Dick Bomb"..... Haah, English is hard...
Anyway, I'm tired, so this is it for me tonight, but I'll have a picture/comic post up soon enough, I've got some time off coming up :)

Work it!

Hm, It's Been A While.

Sorry about that. I got kind of busy, I mean I do have a job and whatnot. And now I have a room mate, he works at the same place as I do and was looking for a cheap place so I said he could rent one of the rooms in my apartment. He's a good guy at heart, but he's kind of weird. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Elliot, but this comic illustrates our room mate relationship from my side of things.
And for those of you who didn't quite realise it, yes, I do have an accent. I didn't move to Canada all that long ago, so yeah.... Anyway, I'm going to be collaborating with Elliot on another webcomic blog. I'm doing the art while he does the story.

So, yeah.... I'll try and post daily from now on as often as I can, but I'm having major computer issues. Hopefully, though, I'll be getting a new laptop come the holiday season so that should help :) But tonight, because I've been gone so long, you're getting two posts! So, remember how in my comic (about me) "So I Had A Chat With My Girls the Other Day" how I said I owned some questionable (ugly) sweaters? Well, I just thought that today was the day that I show you one of these sweaters. It's a new addition to my collection! I'm actually quite thrilled about finding it, haha. Look, here's something new!!

So, Still Don't Have My Computer...

But I do have a Tumblr! I'm still not quite sure how it works.... A Little (Lot Of) Backstory For You All.

I really do hate being without my laptop, I actually had to borrow my friend's for this because my phone hates my entire existence and my iPod is apparently very temperamental.... It kind of really sucks... Like a lot...
Anyhoo, I think a little bit of a backstory to how Jay and Gerard met is in order, no?
When Jay first moved to America from Japan, he placed ads in the local newspaper offering tutoring services in math, sciences, and history. Gerard's father, Jeremy decided that Gerard (who was 15 at the time and Jay was only 19) needed help in math and hired Jay. They got along very well so Jeremy would sometimes ask Jay to watch Gerard when he and Matti (spouse) were out of town (or country) for work.
Gerard wanted to move out almost immediately after high school (mostly because his parents are a bit too "loving" of each other, haha.) but he didn't have enough money saved for an apartment, so Jay offered to let Gerard stay for a while until he had the money, but he just never left...

Now perhaps some info on the characters (and we may see others eventually)

Gerard Von Stratden; 20 years old, born in Frankfurt, Germany. His biological parents are Jeremy Von Stratden and Anastasia Von Stratden (maiden name Faust), raised by Jeremy and his second spouse, Matti Bey. Currently unemployed and freeloading off of Jay. He likes horror movies and old cartoons, he loves the colour blue, and is five foot six (the same height as me!!) He enjoys reading as is very needy, but won't admit it to anyone. He is afraid of thunderstorms.

Jay Onodera; 24 year old cartoonist from Osaka, Japan. He is not in contact with any of his family asides from his identical twin brother, Haruhi. Currently putting up with Gerard's freeloading. He prefers comedies or dramas for movies, but would rather read comics or look at new anime merchandise. His favourite colour is red, he loves peach tea (or any kind of tea, really) He won't admit it, but Gerard's neediness and bad habits are major inspirations for designing some of his characters. He is afraid of talking to people he doesn't know well, and small, dark spaces.

I may decide to introduce Gerard's parents to the comic because they have such a funny relationship, they're very sarcastic and obviously Gerard has picked up some habits from them. They don't actually speak much English, mostly German (sometimes Swedish, because Matti is from Sweden.) but for the sake of this comic, they will (mostly, unless for comedic purposes) speak English. Monetary Woes

Sorry, the art this time kinda sucks xP I had to do a really rushed job today :(
Another thing, (also unfortunate) I'm not going to have my laptop for a while (probably no longer than two weeks...) Until such time when it is returned to me, I'll just post other stuff I've happened to do... And I know that Gerard's vest isn't plaid this time, but that's because it's a different vest! His closet is full of sweater vests and turtlenecks of varying colours and design, and Jay's is full of red t-shirts and blue jeans, haha. Well, I guess I should probably stop babbling now, but I'll just say to anyone who actually reads my blog, you're awesome and also tell your friends about it :) Please and thank you :3

Well, This is Unfortunate

So, it would appear that in an unfortunate incident of... cat-ness, Mari (my kitten) knocked over my tea and spilled it on my laptop, so for now updates wll be suspended. I'm seeing to it that it either gets repaired or I will invest in a new one. For the time being, I will try to post some pictures (unrelated to my webcomic) that I have on my phone. Hi! My name is Shigeru Horiuchi! So, I guess since this is my first post and all I should maybe introduce myself? Okay, well I'm a 20 year old Japanese guy, I moved to Canada from Japan as soon as I graduated highschool. Why Canada? Well, Canadians are awesome and I went once when I was still in highschool and I kind of fell in love with the food (POUTINE AND TIM HORTONS!) So I made the move on my own. I live in an apartment with 3 cats, Moka, Maaka, and Mari (so original, right?) This Blog is devoted to my webcomic called The Annoying Roomate. It's basically about two guys, Gerard Von Stratden and Jay Onodera, who share an apartment. It would be pretty boring if it wasn't for the fact that Gerard can be super needy and obnoxious at times, it's a good thing for him Jay's a patient guy. But, that's as much detail as I'll get into with that.
